Honeycomb is delighted to be partnering with a Local Government organisation for an immediate 'Assistant Regeneration Officer'. Temporary until 31st December 2024, with possibility of extension.
The Client – This large organisation operates across a broad remit through its specific departments. Currently the Regeneration and Place directorate are seeking a Senior Officer Grade 1 personnel to assist with the creation and delivery of new village action plans.
The Role – Whilst initially temporary this is a vacant post so strong likelihood of extension can be considered. 36 hours per week, hybrid structure with a base site of Bangor. Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate may be required to work evenings/ weekends were needed.
Duties would include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for the planning, management, delivery and monitoring of designated regeneration projects and programmes.
- To assist with the delivery of public engagement programmes.
- To work alongside stakeholders, assist with the development and implementation of robust plans.
- To Represent the Council at Stakeholder groups and prepare reports.
- To collate and maintain up to date data on the villages and towns within the Borough.
Qualifications:
- A third-level qualification (HNC or Higher) in a relevant discipline e.g. urban/ rural planning, community planning, economic development, tourism management, business studies.
OR
Two years’ relevant professional experience of project planning and delivery in at least one of the following:
- Urban/ rural planning
- Town centre management and/or rural or community development
- Regeneration
- Economic Development
