We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Restaurant and Bar Manager at Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is renowned as one of Worcestershire’s best-kept secrets. With a recent £4.2m renovation, meticulously designed to celebrate the country house hotel’s history, introduced the new brasserie-style dining experience in The Refectory restaurant, situated at the site of the original nun’s cafeteria. An additional eight new bedrooms are situated on the second floor, with a further seven rooms built in the original schoolhouse in St Anne’s Wing, bringing the total number of bedrooms to 70.
About the Role
- As the Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager you will be responsible for helping manage the team overseeing breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, ensuring our guests enjoy every meal will put a smile on your face and motivate you on a daily basis.
- You will work closely with the Restaurant manager to achieve these goals.
- You are the ultimate hospitality professional able to make each and every guest feel special and have the ability to encourage and motivate a team to do the same.
- Your knowledge of food and drink will inspire others and you will enjoy sharing your knowledge through regular training and development.
- You will be help to lead the team in the effective delivery of department goals, planning and organising work activities, seeking to continuously improve ways of working and engaging the team to do the same.
- Of course, being an Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager requires a lot of skill and dedication, so you will have incredible organisational skills and attention to detail.

About you:
- Previous supervisory experience working in a fine dining restaurant ideally within a luxury Hotel environment is required for this role.
- With proven experience coaching and managing teams you will enjoy motivating others to be their best.
- Being driven to deliver outstanding and memorable customer service will be your passion and motivation.
- You will be excellent at building a rapport with colleagues and guests.
- Most of all, you will have a professional, organised and friendly approach and be able to anticipate our guests needs and create memories.
Company Benefits
Our Benefits include:
- A competitive salary package of £31,200 per year, additional hours will be paid at the hourly rate of £15 plus a share of service charge.
- This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7 including weekends on a rota basis, 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
