Assistant Restaurant Manager - Full Time
We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to assist in coordinating daily restaurant management operations, deliver superior food and beverage service, maximize customer satisfaction, and respond efficiently and accurately to any customer complaints.
You will lead all aspects of our restaurant business. You will deliver a high-quality menu and
motivate your front-of-house team to provide excellent customer service.
The Assistant Restaurant Manager's responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need management skills and experience in both the front and back of the house. The Restaurant Manager will oversee the dining space, check in with customers, and balance seating capacity. Back-of-house/ kitchen management experience is also essential, you will recruit qualified kitchen and front-of-house staff, set work schedules, oversee food prep, and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations.
Leading by example and maintaining morale during busy periods in our fast-paced environment is essential. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have excellent dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate daily Front of House and kitchen operations
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Organize and supervise shifts, assist/manage rota planning
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils, and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage representation of the restaurant and ensure a high standard (uniform etc.)
- Control operational costs and identify measures to reduce wastage
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
- Train new and current employees on exceptional customer service and table service practices
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
Essential
- Minimum two years of proven work experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar role
- Exceptional customer service understanding and ability
- Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving attitude
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
- Critical thinker and problem-solver
- Excellent time-management skills
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and front-of-house staff
- Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills Desired
- Experience with ERP and Lightspeed POS software
- Events Management experience, not essential

- BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
