Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager in overseeing all aspects of on-site construction activities, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and tradespeople.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with specifications and building regulations.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment to ensure timely availability on-site.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in the resolution of technical queries and on-site challenges in collaboration with the Site Manager and project team.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project coordination and delivery.
- Provide support to the Site Manager in managing project budgets, costs, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a construction-related role, ideally within residential housing or building construction.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (desirable).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
