Recruitment Pro are keen to speak with experienced Assistant Site Managers for a new and exciting opportunity in Alfreton, working with our client who specialise in the recycling sector.
Job Description
The Assistant Site manager will have responsibility and accountability for the safe and efficient operation of all the recycling sites processes as part of their normal role, will also be able to manage the site whilst the Site Manager is away from site, being able to keep the same control measures in as the Site Manager.
You will have responsibility for ensuring that all stock can be taken on to site and recycled accordingly. You will ensure that the site is compliant with all company policies and maintains a good safety record.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills and will demonstrate adaptability and integrity.
The role requires the ability to create a strong positive culture, which is focused on business needs, meeting targets and delivering results.
The candidate will have a continuous improvement attitude and Implementation of the company’s continuous improvement plan will be part of your responsibilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Working alongside the Site manager you have the responsibility for the efficient and cost-effective management of all operations on the Ridding’s site to maximise gate fees, throughput, recycling revenues and minimising costs.
- Weekly Health and safety Audits.
- Managing all aspects of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Employment Rights Act 1996.
- Achieve at a minimum the site KPI’s and increase efficiency and proficiency.
- Work alongside our partners abiding by their site procedures and conditions.
- Ensure accurate reporting of the current DAL and all Site documentation.
- Environmental compliance.
- Personal development and innovation
- Mentoring and training of all operational staff to ensure each member of operational staff reaches their potential.
- Active man management of the operatives and excellent motivational skills.
- Hands-on approach to managing staff and operatives and should be motivating and training other members of site operational staff, in the recycling sector.
- The checking of incoming and outgoing product throughout the day
- Give attention to cutting line targets, identify problem areas and discuss the best action to be taken.
- Perimeter check to check on security and cleanliness of site where needed arrange for clean up or repair.
- Meeting with Site Manager and Recycling manager to discuss daily tasks/projects.
- Controlling waste of the site.
- Oversee daily output in order to maintain targets.
- Coordinate and attain productivity levels.
Qualifications;
- Qualification in Management L3 +
- 5 years managerial experience
- Microsoft office (365) Competent
- IOSH Managing Safely
