Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, your duties are:
- Implementation of supply chain strategies to allow best practice tendering and mitigation of Supply Chain risk
- Implementation of logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination to destination.
- Leading and reacting to changes in demand
- Analysing Supply Chain and business system data
- Resolve discovered issues where possible and present innovative solutions for consideration where not possible
- Identify and minimise risk by forecasting the demand for products and implementation of Supply Chain strategies to manage them.
- Managing inventory, packing and distributing globally
- Providing leadership and guidance to the Supply Chain team
- Increase value within the Supply Chain through actively decreasing waste and improving process
- Manage supplier performance with reviews and day to day communication
- Implement inventory management strategies to balance the needs for parts availability in collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager
- Review production schedules
- Work with the global sales team
- Mentor and train team members in new and existing processes
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures
- Continuously monitor team members performance and appraise
- Adhere to all statutory requirements relating to health and safety.
- Other duties required to successfully manage the department.
Requirements for the role:
- Strong communicator with potential to manage direct reports
- CIPS would be an advantage however not essential - study support can be offered
- Project management experience
- Experience working within Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with a start up business or a business which has undergone acquisitions would be an advantage
- Ability to embrace change
