Position Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Technical Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the company's targets are met while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will lead a team to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards, maintain the Quality Management System, and oversee day-to-day technical operations.
Responsibilities:
-Lead and support a team to achieve company targets and objectives.
-Ensure the site is compliant with quality and food safety standards, maintaining audit readiness at all times.
-Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System to reflect the latest industry standards and company requirements.
-Provide guidance and support on technical issues, troubleshooting where necessary.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
-Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
-Conduct regular internal audits and assist with external audits as required.
Requirements:
-Prior experience in a leadership role, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
-Strong knowledge and experience with BRC and HACCP standards.
-Excellent understanding of quality management systems and processes.
-Retailer knowledge is desirable but not essential.
-Previous experience working with chilled products is advantageous.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Salary:
Dependent on previous experience, this role is paying between £40,000-£45,000.
