Due to ongoing success, an exciting opportunity has come up for an Assistant Yard Manager to join their team near Great Barford.
Assistant Yard ManagerPosition Overview
- Providing support and assisting the Yard Manager with day-to-day management of the staff, ensuring they understand their duties for the day
- Delegation of jobs and tasks for yard operatives, prioritising and providing clear instructions
- Ensuring jobs are carried out safely and efficiently
- Ensuring that stock is fully accounted for and picked / packed correctly
- Liaising with internal and external customers to ensure deliveries and picked packed and distributed to the various logistic companies
- Assisting with month end stock calculations for both hire and sale items
- Identifying any hazards and ensuring prompt action is taken
- Introduce and develop new working practices in direction of management to improve operations
- Potential opportunity to attend our Site(s) to install products around the UK
Assistant Yard ManagerPosition Requirements
- Experience working in a busy yard environment
- IT literate - Microsoft packages
- Forklift licence
Assistant Yard ManagerPosition Remuneration
- Salary £25-£26K DOE
