A leading multi-disciplinary Construction Consultancy in Leicester is seeking an experienced Associate Construction Project Manager.
This role provides an exciting opportunity for a professional to work closely with the Director to achieve business goals, delivering high-quality services to clients and managing technical delivery within the team.
The Associate Construction Project Manager Role
As an Associate Project Manager, you will be a key member to the Leicester office, helping deliver a range of schemes in the Midlands region. Your diverse pipeline of work includes projects in retail, commercial, education, healthcare, and regeneration sectors. Key Responsibilities of the Associate Project Manager:
- Developing and agreeing on the client's brief from inception.
- Coordinating, managing, and communicating with clients, stakeholders, and consultants.
- Undertaking change management, coordinating the design process, and managing project control both pre- and post-contract.
- Developing procurement strategies and overseeing procurement activities.
- Participating in risk, value, and opportunities management, including facilitating workshops.
- Chairing meetings and preparing reports such as PEP, Strategy Reports, Risk Registers, and Progress Reports.
- Leading and participating in new business development and bid preparation.
The Associate Construction Project Manager
- Significant experience in a similar role, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Ability to lead and shape the offering, being a strong team player.
- Clear understanding of risk management.
- Excellent understanding of building contracts (including JCT and NEC3).
- Strong bid writing and presentation skills.
- A relevant degree is desirable but not essential.
- Achieved relevant professional qualification (MAPM, MCIOB, MRICS, Prince 2).
- Current membership of a construction-related professional body (RICS, CIOB, APM, etc.).
