About the team 

You will join the Group Risk Management team based in Speke.  Our team work on multiple priorities across all areas of the business in a fast paced and dynamic environment to help identify, assess and monitor risk across the organisation to minimise customer, financial, regulatory & reputational impact.

You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement & embed processes aligned to the risk management framework.

About the role 

The scope of the role covers all of The Very Group and outsourced locations, both on and off-shore, and may require travel and presence at each of these sites at various intervals.

You will play a key role in the delivery of Risk Management across the organisation including, but not limited to:

  • Where risks, issues or control weaknesses are identified, work with first line colleagues to determine materiality and engage with relevant stakeholders.
  • Report findings to stakeholders and ensure they are consistently managed through agreed processes. E.G Risk events / Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA)
  • Be the point of contact for Risk Events within the business & support the roll out and embedment of the process across TVG
  • Oversight & monitoring of action tracking escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain a Risk Management documentation suite, ensuring that the content provides first line and second line risk colleagues with adequate information for them to understand and carry out their risk and control responsibilities
  • Undertake, report, and communicate outcomes of control testing programmes, ensuring any actions are tracked to closure and key stakeholders are kept informed throughout the process.
  • Undertake conformance monitoring against Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework policies and standards, and report outcomes ensuring areas of concern are highlighted and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.

About you 

You’ll come from a background in audit, compliance, assurance or control, ideally within a regulated industry.

  • You will demonstrate a track record of building relationships and communicating your ideas with clarity and possess the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • You possess the ability to work within a dynamic and changing environment where priorities and activities are vital. You will be able to respond energetically and proactively to drive change at a fast pace.
  • You’ll be a great communicator both verbally and in written form while being comfortable influencing a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively, you will be able to challenge, feedback and regularly multi-task.
  • The ability to innovate and create is also welcomed and you will be comfortable working under pressure, to tight deadlines.
