Role Overview
We are looking for an 'Associate Data Analyst - Marketing and Communications' to join our Data & Analytics team, so if you are a problem solver with great analytical skills, this position might be for you!
In this role you will deliver value for Nest through data extraction, wrangling and analysis that will ensure the business is focused on giving users the best outcomes, value for money and experience. You will interpret, analyse and translate our Marketing and enterprise-wide data into insights and provide regular BAU and ad-hoc reports to meet the needs of our internal and external customers.

This role might lead to insight / surveys, BI developer, Data Analyst, modelling analyst, or marketer, and as much as possible, you will be given chances to learn based on their aptitude and interest. You may have worked with Marketing and Communications data before but you don’t need to be a data expert. You do need to be a problem solver, willing to learn, and have the drive to become an expert in using a variety of data analysis tools. Your main focus will be on analysis of Marketing and Communications, including direct marketing such as email campaigns. At the heart of it, your role is to help people in the business make informed decisions.
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Analytical background, experience of working with quantitative data, preferably with Marketing and Communications data.
- Ability to interpret data from diverse sources to a high standard and “tell the story” that lies within different datasets.
- Some experience, or willingness to learn data analysis and visualisation tools; some of which may include: RStudio, Python, Databricks, Business Objects, Power BI, Google Analytics, SQL, Dax and Microsoft Excel.
- Curiosity. Desire to learn advanced data analysis techniques
- A natural collaborator who can build internal-customer relationships
- Experience or a willingness to learn about Marketing and communication principles and practices.

- Business Intelligence – delivering data visualisations to make Nest’s data intuitive to understand.
- Customer insight – putting our customers at the heart, understanding their needs through empathy, research, surveys, and digital insight
- Data – planning and delivering how we manage high quality data as an enterprise, making it easy for BI, analysis and modelling to happen and be automated
- Partnership Leads – working with our outsourced administrator, making sure data & insight flows between the organisations
