What you'll be doing
- Being a vital member of the Acquisition Finance and Venture Debt teams, working on new transactions, from initial early stage through to execution
- Liaising effectively with prospective customers, existing customers, professional investors such as PE and VC funds, debt advisers, other KBIs and Credit to originate and execute new lending opportunities
- Assessing and analysing new lending opportunities
- Preparing detailed credit applications including the building of financial models and sensitivity scenarios
- Instructing, completing and processing internal and external documentation to ensure loan and security documentation is properly prepared and due diligence is correctly scoped
- Displaying strong organisational skills and effective project management within tight deadlines, and ability to influence and collaborate with key internal stakeholders
- Developing and expanding your own network of internal and external contacts
We need you to have
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including knowledge of Syndicated and Acquisition/Leveraged finance transactions
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and due diligence
- Advanced Excel financial modelling skills
- Knowledge of Acquisition/Leveraged Finance loan and security documentation
- Commitment to consistently provide high standards of work with outstanding attention to detail
- Knowledge of bank systems and processes in relation to customer-facing systems, Treasury Operations, risk and credit
It's a bonus if you have but not essential
- A relevant vocational financial services qualification e.g. Chartered Banker
- Understanding of risk and compliance requirements in line with the role
- A knowledge of the Bank's lending and securities policy and procedures
