We are looking for an Associate Director, Immunology and Specialty Clinical Imaging to join our Clinical imaging team to act as a Clinical Imaging lead on Ph1 - Ph4 clinical studies.

In this role you will
  • Lead and deliver imaging endpoints from Ph1 to Ph4 assets across Immunology, Hepatology, GI, Renal, Dermatology and Respiratory indications.
  • Facilitate selection of optimal imaging endpoints for GSK studies, and application and delivery in multicentre studies.
  • Resource the studies appropriately to ensure high-quality imaging data & support initiatives to enable data reuse.
  • Assist with developing a Clinical Imaging strategy for addressing GSK's emerging disease areas of interest and adjust the strategy according to pipeline changes.
  • Assess the external landscape, with a focus on specialist imaging CRO Vendors, for current and emerging imaging endpoints to support GSK's portfolio.
  • Support Vendor onboarding and Vendor oversight activities.

Why you?
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • BSc or PhD (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical, life science, medical imaging or related field of study
  • Experience in Clinical Imaging using multiple radiological imaging modalities (e.g. CT, PET, MRI)
  • Experience in clinical research working within an imaging CRO, within a large pharmaceutical company, or experience in Clinical Imaging via a post doc.
  • Direct experience in leading and delivering imaging-endpoints within clinical trials (phase 1-4)
  • Detailed experience across the lifecycle of multicentre studies delivering standard, regulatory; AND advanced, non-regulatory imaging endpoints across multiple therapeutic areas

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:
  • Medical or PhD degree (or equivalent) with imaging experience in drug development
  • Clinical radiology experience and deep understanding of the use of clinical radiology imaging modalities across multiple disease areas
  • Hands-on experience with Clinical Imaging in a research or hospital environment
  • Experience in operational aspects of implementing imaging in multicentre clinical trials, with an emphasis on late-stage clinical development
  • Detailed biological knowledge of 1-2 diseases
  • Experience with vendor capability assessment and oversight
  • Experience in authoring scientific articles and clinical development documents
  • Good communication and influencing skills with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
