Job title: Associate Director of Ecology
Salary: £55,000 - £75,000
Location: Northumberland
We are looking for an Associate Director of Ecology to join a specialist ecological consultancy in Northumberland. They undertake all elements of ecological survey and assessment, and work with a huge spectrum of clients. The team has extensive experience of ecological survey and assessment in relation to both development related projects and conservation based work. This is the ideal opportunity for an Associate who is looking to work within a smaller consultancy, with an established brand and expertise of the senior team alongside them. This is also a developmental position, so over time you will ensure the longer-term goals of the business are met.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Hold one or more protected species licences
- Be confident at high-level project management
- Proven experience as a high-level Principal Ecologist, Associate, or Technical Director
- Full membership of CIEEM and Chartership (or be working towards it)
- Effective client communication skills
- Experience with financial management
- In-depth understanding of UK and EU protected species and planning legislation
- In-depth knowledge of BNG metrics
- Experienced team leader
- Hold a valid full driving licence
