Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Utilise your profound technical expertise in survey design, delivery, and protected species mitigation to navigate complex client sites and large-scale development projects.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and best practices throughout the project life cycle.
  • Conduct and oversee key client meetings, including design team sessions, effectively communicating project objectives and requirements.
  • Provide dedicated mentor ship and support to junior team members, facilitating their professional growth and development within the organisation.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, leveraging your expertise to enhance the capabilities of colleagues across the organisation.
  • Demonstrate exemplary report writing skills and ensure the accuracy and quality of sensitive, site-critical documentation.
  • Champion technological advancement and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Associate Director or equivalent level in environmental consultancy or related field.
  • Profound technical expertise in survey design, delivery, and protected species mitigation, with a background in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects, delivering high-value solutions to clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages and a commitment to leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and client delivery.
  • Hold mitigation licenses for at least one protected species and ideally a survey license for one species, with authoritative experience in conducting site surveys.

If you are passionate about environmental consultancy and are ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic and collaborative work environment, we encourage you to apply for the position of Associate Director.
