An opportunity to join an award-winning engineering consultancy with an impressive global reach. The role requires an experienced Ecologist, at Associate-grade, to offer management support on both UK and International projects, managing sub-consultants and liaising with external clients and other teams within the business.
The Role:
* Support UK Ecology and Biodiversity lead on client and portfolio development for climate resilience & NBS work.
* Provide client advisory services for international contacts, offering services such as zoning plans, regional restoration & offsetting, EIA and masterplans.
* Design and oversee ecological surveys, utilising species experts and managing consultants to complete surveys in timely and accurate fashion.
* Advise on biodiversity restoration / enhancement and integration of green infrastructure and other NBS to secure BNG and improve climate resilience measures.
* Technical review for sub-consultants reports and presentations
* Manage, mentor and develop junior staff.
Qualifications / Requirements:
* A genuinely passionate individual with an eclectic skillset to provide expertise in a variety of ecological / environmental focusses.
* Familiar growing, managing and developing ecological consultancy team (multidisciplinary environment desirable)
* Experience working on international (to IFC Performance Standards) projects, and including PS6 reporting, is advantageous.
* Planning and managing budgets, in keeping with projected project timeframes.
