Job description

We are currently seeking a flexible hourly paid Lecturer in ESOL to join The Bedford College Group at our Northamptonshire sites.  As a Associate ESOL Lecturer you play an important role in the success of our students through the preparation for and delivery of ESOL provision to include 16-18 and/or adult day and evening classes for ESOL learners across the Tresham campuses. Ideal candidates will have experience of teaching ESOL, alongside the following qualifications: Degree or equivalent in related subject area - ESOL/English Hold or be willing to work towards the DET (Diploma in Education & Training) or PGCE (PCET) Good all-round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent level (Level 2) Hold a minimum teaching qualification specific to teaching ESOL (CELTA or Trinity) Successful candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisational VISION values: Valuing Teamwork - We are one team who by working together can achieve great things, respecting the opinion and valuing the contribution each of us makes. What is an Associate?Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
