As an Associate Nutritionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest nutritional standards for our client's education contracts.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert guidance on nutritional standards and special diet processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines for healthy and nutritious children's food in line with the client brand.
Job Description
As Associate Nutritionist, you will manage special diet referrals and communications, liaising with parents, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure that all dietary needs are met efficiently and effectively.
In this 12-month FTC, your role will also involve supporting the delivery of nutrition and broader health and wellbeing initiatives and programs, promoting a holistic approach to health in educational settings.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to stay current with the latest nutritional research and guidelines, applying this knowledge to improve our client's food offerings continuously.
You will work closely with our culinary team to develop menus that are both nutritious and appealing to children, fostering a positive relationship with healthy eating.

Key Responsibilities
- Management and organisation of the central nutrition team email inbox
- Processing of dietary safeguarding referral forms and management of the pupil files
- Answering and dealing with general queries around new and existing dietary safeguarding menus; i.e., administration, communication with parents and teachers, etc
- Assisting the Nutritionist and Senior Nutritionist with assessing menu compliance in line with the Food Based Standards at the bi-annual menu change
- Assisting with the production of special diet menus at the bi-annual menu change
- Assisting with and supporting added value initiatives within the business e.g FEED days and other promotional or educational events (must be comfortable communicating with young children, teenagers, parents & teachers)
- Support the Nutritionist with the development and delivery of internal training programmes on healthy eating and allergen management
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Degree in Nutrition (or suitable equivalent)
- Registered as Associate Nutritionist with AfN
- Experience using saffron or other nutritional analysis programme
- Knowledge of special dietary requirements and allergen management & legislation
