Associate Planner, Manchester area
£50,000 - £65,000 per annum + negotiable, benefits, bonus

I am working closely with a well-established consultancy in the Manchester area, looking for someone to join as an Associate Planner.
This close-knit team have delivered on a variety of projects across the country with a reputation for maintaining standards of excellence.
You will be offered support in your development with the opportunity to hit the ground running with existing clients, whilst generating new business in your sector of choice.
You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):

• Managing projects, assisting in delegating and starting to take on leadership role
• Continuing to maintain relationships with clients in providing accurate advice and communicating effectively
• Dealing with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process
• Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders and local regularly
• Business development and working up your own client base, or bringing your own
• Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process
• Mentoring and helping to manage junior team members

You will ideally:

• Have at least 6 years within planning - ideally in consultancy
• Strong development management skillset and expertise
• Be MRTPI or equivalent
• Be a strong communicator with excellent written work
