The department of Psychology is a vibrant, research active team of professionals with expertise covering a diverse range of Psychological studies. We are an inclusive Department encouraging and involving our students' participation in research to develop highly skilled, knowledgeable and employment ready graduates.
There is a clear enthusiasm for developing programmes that offer students meaningful and practical engagement with psychological science. Our course programmes are approved and accredited by the British Psychological Society underpinned by a strong organisational structure and inclusive ethos, which greatly enhances the student experience and is reflected in our high NSS results and the large numbers of applications that we receive year on year.
The Department is currently wanting to develop student's applied focus that will lead to practice based graduate and postgraduate employment in Clinical Psychology and related areas. Leadership and external relations will be a particular key aspect of the Associate Practice Fellow role.
About the Role
Applications are invited for an Associate Practice Fellow in Clinical Psychology to work within the Department of Psychology, which is part of the Faculty Health and Education. The successful candidate will be required to take up programme leadership and developments within Clinical Psychology and related fields at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Ideal Candidate
Applicants should have practice experience and eligibility for Chartered Membership with the BPS, and hold a PhD or equivalent in a Clinical Psychology related area. Active engagement with research and evidence of publications, etc are essential requirements for successful applicants to this post.
