The job:

We are seeking an Associate Product Manager who will be responsible for enhancing the user experience of End2End, by taking direction from the product management team on the business goals and objectives. The Associate Product Manager will be given full ownership of the product and its scope.

This position will be a part of the End2End team, which provides a web and Android application used in stores and warehouses. In stores, it automates the control of store deliveries using RFID technology and measures the productivity of the delivery process. In warehouses, it ensures quality management of deliveries and identifies issues with daily operations.

This project is used in over 25 countries worldwide, including America, Asia, and Europe, and is rapidly expanding. Decathlon is the largest retailer worldwide to have implemented RFID tags on such a large scale, starting over 10 years ago. Each product has a unique identifier. Although RFID has not yet been implemented to its fullest potential, there are still many improvements that can be made. You will be developing functionalities that do not exist anywhere else, in any other retailer. By promoting efficiency in stock management, you will be contributing to making products more accessible to the masses.

Responsibilities:
1. Vision and Strategy Definition:
  • Lead in defining and sharing the product's vision and strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to co-create the vision.
  • Adapt the strategy daily using the vision.
  • Maintain transparency and communicate the product vision to stakeholders.
  • Co-define short, medium, and long-term stages in line with the product vision.
  • Utilize Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to shape the product strategy.

2. Market Alignment:
  • Conduct thorough market studies, including product launches and pivots.
  • Carry out competitive benchmarks to inform strategic decisions.
  • Drive the development of new products and offerings aligned with market positioning.
  • Determine pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness and profitability.

3. Discovery and User Research:
  • Continuously ensure the product meets user needs.
  • Listen to user feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Organize and prioritize user research activities.
  • Synthesize research findings to inform decision-making.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of user research deliverables.
  • Segment product usability to identify user experience gaps.

4. Delivery and Quality Assurance:
  • Prioritize and plan product development activities.
  • Define short-term and medium-term development goals and milestones.
  • Frame product functionalities to align with desired impacts.
  • Oversee the creation of user stories and ensure functional consistency.
  • Prioritize backlog items based on user value and business objectives.
  • Facilitate collaboration with other teams to manage dependencies.

5. Quality Assurance and Security:
  • Ensure product quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
  • Validate delivered features and prioritize bug fixes.
  • Monitor technical debt and resolve functional issues.
  • Incorporate technical projects into prioritization efforts.
  • Uphold commitments to operational excellence.
  • Safeguard the product's data and ensure regulatory compliance.

6. Stakeholder Communication and Roadmap Management:
  • Communicate product roadmap progress internally and externally.
  • Conduct periodic Sprint Reviews to engage stakeholders.
  • Maintain transparency regarding the product's progress.

7. Growth and Data Optimization:
  • Define and monitor key success metrics for product performance.
  • Track and analyze product traffic and user engagement.
  • Govern business objectives within the product domain.
  • Analyze user engagement paths and model user journeys for optimization.

Who you are:
  • Previous experience in product management, preferably within the retail or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of a product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset. Ideal if experienced in A/B testing, analytics, and mobile metrics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for delivering persuasive presentations.
  • Fluent in English and eager to work in a diverse, international team. French would also be a plus.
  • Passionate about sports.

Specific requirements/Work environment:
This role is hybrid and requires the successful candidate to attend our office in London or Northampton at least three days per week.
