TSR Legal are currently partnering with a multi office legal 100 law firm based in Bath who are seeking an Associate to join the Court of Protection team to oversee the compensation clients receive following litigation. The role entails providing comprehensive support to the Professional Deputy/Trustee across various facets of their responsibilities, including Court applications, annual reporting, client interactions, and fund management and investment.
In this role, as an Associate, you will be entrusted with delivering consistently high-quality legal advice to clients in a commercially manner, always ensuring exceptional client service. You will actively contribute to promoting the department's services and engage in business development initiatives to bolster the firm's growth and enhance the team's standing within the sector. Supervisory responsibilities for junior team members will also be part of your remit.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a caseload of files efficiently, handling cases and transactions adeptly.
Establishing credibility with clients and fostering client relationships by effectively managing their expectations regarding options, outcomes, risks, and timelines.
Assessing fees for existing clients and contributing to fee negotiations.
Expanding internal and external networks by cultivating relationships with clients, intermediaries, and contacts.
Elevating personal and departmental profiles through attendance at networking events, producing publications/marketing materials, and speaking engagements at seminars.
Taking charge of delegated project aspects and ensuring deadlines are met.
Providing guidance and support to junior team members by offering technical, business, and general advice.
Facilitating smooth communication among senior lawyers and junior team members.
Monitoring progress against personal KPIs and meeting set targets.
Assisting in the budget management of client matters.
Adhering to all business processes and utilizing resources efficiently.
To be considered for this role, our client is requiring an individual who is a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years PQE, proficient in making applications to the Court of Protection, ability to manage your own caseload and delegate tasks effectively, strong client management skills with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
