SalaryWe are seeking a conscientious and efficient Attendance Welfare Officer to start ASAP at a school in South Leicester, Wigston area.
The position is permanent, 37 hours per week over 41 weeks.
Grade 5, point 12 £26,421 FTE - £24,073 Actual
About the role:
- Manage the smooth running of the school’s daily pupil attendance procedures
- Ensure the safeguarding of pupils through accurate register maintenance.
- To promote individual students’ progress by helping them to overcome difficulties that may hinder their attendance.
- Implement the Academy’s attendance procedures and take appropriate action to address specific attendance issues with students and families.
- When necessary, visit family homes to discuss attendance issues and improve student attendance.
The ideal candidate:
- The successful candidate must be an outstanding administrator, with an unrivalled passion for education and have the drive and resilience to secure the very best outcomes for pupils.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be organised, able to remain calm in a busy environment and have the ability to motivate and engage our pupils and families.
- Full driving licence required for the role.
