Audio Typist

Job Title: Audio Typist

Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5

Location: Sheffield Teaching Hospital

Trust Location: Royal Hallamshire Hospital - Glossop Rd, Broomhall, Sheffield S10 2JF

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Entering details on the Database which assist in analysing the statistics of our treatment

· Answering the telephone and dealing with queries from patients and their families directly

· Audio typing from clinics and dictation

· Maintaining waiting list information, maintaining overdue reviews

· Typing standard discharge summaries ensuring all concerned in the patient’s care receives a copy

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· IT skills including Microsoft packages

· Previous experience of typing using a keyboard

· Previous experience in administrator roles

· Previous experience in customer service
