We are working with our fantastic Legal client who are looking to recruit a Audio Typist on a permanent basis, based locally to Nottingham. If you are looking for a business who excel their employee’s growth and offer opportunities to develop within the company, this may be the role for you.
The main purpose of the role is to provide admin and process audio, hard copy and email work requests and resolving problems regarding formatting or corrupt documents.
To be considered for the Audio Typist role, you’ll require the following:
- Proven experience working as an Audio Typist or similar within the legal sector
- Display fast and accurate audio typing
- Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Be familiar with document management/case management system
- Show strong communication skills and work well within a team
- Demonstrate a proactive and professional manner
- Hold the ability to maintain strong relationships with colleagues and customers
Within the Shared Services Team, you’ll also be:
- Prioritising and processing work request including audio transcription of legal correspondence and other relevant documents
- Daily usage of case management system to produce notes, correspondence and reports
- Creating instructions and pleadings in addition to using software where required to provide court documents
- Producing verbatim transcriptions of recorded hearings, police interviews, 999 calls, conferences and others
- Producing and amending time critical documents
- Creating, editing and reformatting correspondence and documents
- Proof reading and checking all work for spelling, grammar, formatting, presentation and sense
- Ensuring that all documents are saved correctly and accessible
- Proactively processing instructions with the legal departments and relevant Managers
- Ensuring effective and efficient handover of work between shifts
- Attending team meetings and being able to handle business matters
- Complete any additional administrative or postal duties as required from time to time
Salary & Working Hours
Salary is £23,000 - £27,000 DOE dependent on experience.
Working hours are Monday – Friday – 12pm – 8pm – (fully remote – 1 day per month in the Nottingham office)
