Audit/ Accounts Semi Senior

We are highly successful Chartered Accountancy Practice recruiting for an experienced accountant to join our friendly team on a full time, permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be ACCA or ACA part or fully qualified and has experience in reviewing accounts and assisting with audit.

Duties will include: 

• Audit Fieldwork and assisting the Audit Senior with the day-to-day audit process
• Assisting with planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them and completing an analytical review.
• Leading smaller audits
• Supporting the senior team with the preparation of audits.
• Review of statutory financial statements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Review of corporation tax returns
• Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
• Confidently liaise with clients and helping with queries.
• Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
• Work closely with senior team members.
• Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

Skills and Attributes: 

• ACA or ACCA part or fully qualified preferably.
• Minimum 1 to 2 Years' experience in practice in a similar role
• IRIS software experience highly desirable
• Cloud-based accounting systems knowledge including Xero, QuickBooks
• Broad background and experience of accounts, tax and audit
• A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
• Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel, to an intermediate level

Hours:

9:00 to 17:00 (1 hour lunch break)

Salary:

£40K to £45k (depending on experience)

20 days holiday per annum plus bank holiday
