We are highly successful Chartered Accountancy Practice recruiting for an experienced accountant to join our friendly team on a full time, permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA or ACA part or fully qualified and has experience in reviewing accounts and assisting with audit.
Duties will include:
- Audit Fieldwork and assisting the Audit Senior with the day-to-day audit process
- Assisting with planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them and completing an analytical review.
- Leading smaller audits
- Supporting the senior team with the preparation of audits.
- Review of statutory financial statements for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Review of corporation tax returns
- Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
- Confidently liaise with clients and helping with queries.
- Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
- Work closely with senior team members.
- Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
Skills and Attributes:
- ACA or ACCA part or fully qualified preferably.
- Minimum 1 to 2 Years' experience in practice in a similar role
- IRIS software experience highly desirable
- Cloud-based accounting systems knowledge including Xero, QuickBooks
- Broad background and experience of accounts, tax and audit
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills including Word, Outlook and Excel, to an intermediate level

Hours:
9:00 to 17:00 (1 hour lunch break)
Salary:
£40K to £45k (depending on experience)
