Disney Consumer Products represents the Publishing and Merchandising licensing operations for the Walt Disney Company. The Disney Consumer Products Audit department, based in Hammersmith London, is responsible for performing compliance audits on all the Disney licensees that have an agreement to manufacture and distribute Disney merchandise throughout the European Region (including Europe, Middle East & South Africa). The Department has a staff of 10 consisting of an Audit Manager, two Supervisors, 4 Senior Business Analysts, 2 Analysts and the Audit Analyst & Planner.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities:
Assisting in the annual and on-going audit selection process. This involves the collation and analysis of data from various resources including historical audit files, current financial and royalty data.
Confirmation of audit engagements and part owner of the quarterly planning schedule. Pivotal to this task is dialogue with Senior internal and external stakeholders on stakeholders on other various levels, in addition to the collation and analysis of financial and royalty information provided. This role is the main contact of the audit department with Contract Administration and Revenue Accounting (CMC).
Drawing the auditor’s attention to the high risk audit areas by preparing licensees for the requirements of the audit engagement as well as obtaining an understanding of their business through various tools and other resources (e.g.: Audit Questionnaire, Dunn & Bradstreet).
Preparing detailed audit files by analyzing financial analysis from various sources including License Agreements, Royalty Statements and internal Disney IT systems.
Assist auditors on the fieldwork of larger licensing audits as well as assisting in the performance of desktop audits in house and on-site or limited scope reviews off-site.
Providing support for special ad-hoc requests from other Regional Audit departments.
Assist, support and train the Audit Intern with various administrative duties such as archiving and filing of Audit Reports.
The Experience We Require From You:
University Degree in Accounting or FinanceFinancial/accounting or audit experience preferable
Analytical and detailed oriented
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Multi task individual with excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced independent environment
Fluent in English. Other European languages would be a definite asset
Self motivated and independent individual
Strong Excel, Power Point and Word skills
