Balfour Beatty are looking to appoint an Audit IMS Manager with previous experience in the Construction industry to join their Quality & Assurance team on a 6 month initial contract to be based at their Coleshill site with flexibility for hybrid working.
The successful Audit IMS Manager will support the Balfour Beatty Vinci joint venture (BBV), working in partnership with High Speed Two Ltd (HS2) to deliver a world class railway in accordance with customer and stakeholder requirements and commitments, including verification activities to demonstrate compliance. The role will lead the continual monitoring of all operations - through the audit process - to ensure business and regulatory requirements are being met and in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
Responsibilities
Delivering the annual audit programme (external and internal), with comprehensive audit reports highlighting areas of both non-conformance and good practice;
Deliver progress reports using BIM;
Interfacing with the senior leadership team to ensure that audit activity is aligned with and is focussed on business risk;
Closing out audit findings from external, client, internal or supplier/subcontractor non-conformity reports, ensuring corrective actions are adequate and that objective evidence is provided;
Monitoring and reporting audit performance related to agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and agree / monitor management actions to drive performance improvements;
Working closely with Health and Safety and Environmental counterparts to integrate the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) and the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) with the Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
Manage, develop and maintain the Integrated Management System
Engage with process owners and end users to ensure the Integrated Management System (IMS) is implemented and continually developed
Maintain core information such as IMS manual, governance procedure
Ensure all amendments to IMS are completed within governance procedure
Ensure IMS remains compliant with applicable standards e.g. ISO9001
Key Skills / Experience
Previous IMS and Audit Manager experience in the Construction industry - ideally for a delivery contractor
Experience of working in a mid to senior level leadership position within a large organisation or on major projects or framework.
Experience of auditing management systems within highly regulated environments.
Full working knowledge of management system standards.
Trained ISO 9001:2015 or ISO 14001:2015 or ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor and preferably IRQA registered.
