Audit Senior

An independent member of a larger group within a top 20 network of chartered accountants is looking for an Audit Senior to join the team in Sittingbourne. Along with a salary of up to £52,000 per annum, you will also receive the opportunity to earn an annual bonus, flexible working, 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), with the ability to purchase extra, and an employee referral bonus. 
The Sittingbourne office serves a wide range of clients, ranging from large UK subsidiaries of international groups and large UK based groups to many SMEs and owner managed businesses. This role will involve 50-60% time with not-for-profits and 40-50% time spent with commercial clients. Whilst experience working with not-for-profit clients would therefore be an advantage it is not considered essential. 
As Audit Senior, your responsibilities will include:

• Audit and accounts senior reporting to managers and, in some instances, directly to partners.
• Metting with clients during audit fieldwork and at planning/closing meetings.
• Providing guidance and support to more junior colleagues.
• Auditing charities and especially academies – experience with this is not required as full training will be provided.

We’re looking for an Audit Senior with the following:

• A practice background with an appropriate professional qualification (ACA or ACCA).
• The ability to demonstrate good practical accountancy and communication skills.
• Strong IT skills, especially in MS Office products such as Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of CaseWare would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Your normal working hours will be 37.5 per week, to be worked from 08:30-17:00 OR 09:00-17:30 (flexibility over working hours with agreement)
