The Sittingbourne office serves a wide range of clients, ranging from large UK subsidiaries of international groups and large UK based groups to many SMEs and owner managed businesses. This role will involve 50-60% time with not-for-profits and 40-50% time spent with commercial clients. Whilst experience working with not-for-profit clients would therefore be an advantage it is not considered essential.
As Audit Senior, your responsibilities will include:
- Audit and accounts senior reporting to managers and, in some instances, directly to partners.
- Metting with clients during audit fieldwork and at planning/closing meetings.
- Providing guidance and support to more junior colleagues.
- Auditing charities and especially academies – experience with this is not required as full training will be provided.
- A practice background with an appropriate professional qualification (ACA or ACCA).
- The ability to demonstrate good practical accountancy and communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, especially in MS Office products such as Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of CaseWare would be beneficial, but is not essential.
Your normal working hours will be 37.5 per week, to be worked from 08:30-17:00 OR 09:00-17:30 (flexibility over working hours with agreement)
This role may be ideal for an ambitious individual with a smaller firm wanting to move to a Top 20 or for someone currently in an environment where there is limited opportunity for progression – the right person can expect early responsibility and will progress through the ranks and play a real role in the future of the practice.
