Overview:
Join our esteemed Coventry firm as an Audit Senior, where you'll lead and manage audits for a diverse client base including commercial organisations, academies, and charities. This role offers a blend of audit work and accounts preparation, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and advance towards becoming an Audit Partner.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage audit engagements independently for clients with turnovers ranging from £1 million - £200 million.
• Assess risks, design audit procedures, and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare audit workpapers, review financial statements, and document findings and conclusions.
• Conduct hands-on lead audit fieldwork.
• Identify areas for improvement, control weaknesses, or compliance issues and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver high-quality client service and meet deadlines.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing regulations and standards.

What we're looking for from you:

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing completion.
• Significant auditing and accounting experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, UK GAAP, and IFRS.
• Proficient in auditing and accounting software, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
