Are you an Automation Delivery Manager looking to join a rapidly growing practice?

We have an opportunity for an Automation Delivery Manager to lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of NHS trust clients, aiming to streamline processes and improve productivity. You will also support us in developing our consulting practice and offering.

This role is Hybrid-Variable, meaning you can work from home or the office as much or as little as you like. There will be some travel to various client sites across the UK and to our Salford Quays site, in Manchester, Leeds or London where most of the team are based, around 1 - 2 days a month.

What you’ll be doing;

  • Collaborate closely with NHS trust stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and prioritize initiatives based on their specific requirements and strategic objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for automation projects, ensuring alignment with the goals and resources of NHS SBS and our NHS trust clients.
  • Manage a dedicated team of automation developers and analysts, providing strategic guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and NHS trust clients to gather requirements, design automation workflows, and integrate systems seamlessly.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies and risk assessments to evaluate the potential benefits and challenges of automation solutions, making data-driven recommendations to NHS trust clients.
  • Monitor project progress closely, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to senior management and NHS trust clients on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, data security standards, and best practices in automation development and deployment, maintaining the highest level of compliance for NHS trust clients.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within NHS SBS consultancy capability, leveraging feedback from NHS trust clients to optimize existing automation processes and explore innovative solutions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in automation, sharing knowledge and insights with internal teams and NHS trust clients to drive mutual success.

What you will bring;

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in leading automation projects or programs within a consultancy or professional services environment, preferably working with NHS trust clients or in the healthcare industry or public sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, including robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and workflow automation tools such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, Blue Prism.
  • Proven track record of successful project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines within budget constraints.
  • Strong leadership skills, including experience managing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving performance excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders, including NHS trust clients.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, focused on driving tangible business outcomes and delivering value through automation initiatives.

It would be great if you had;

  • Previous experience working directly with NHS trust clients and a deep understanding of the UK healthcare system and or the public sector are highly desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant certifications in project management, automation technologies, or related fields would be advantageous.

Salary: Up to £60K, potentially pay more for a highly skilled candidate.
