Salary- Role: Automation Service Developer
- Duration: ASAP-6 months (with possible extension)
- Pay: £450 per day
- Location: Edinburgh (with hybrid working)
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Requirements: Basic disclosure required, Outside IR35
Responsibilities:
- Develop a productionised automation service based on previous R&D findings, harnessing OCR and NLP to analyze deeds and build safe automation rules.
- Build system components supporting deed OCR, NLP analysis, signature detection, and title change prediction on AWS serverless platform.
- Conduct spikes and research to expand the scope of automation service.
- Perform robust data analysis to verify and enhance system behavior.
- Provide top-notch support for the operational service.
- Innovate novel solutions to advance automation goals.
- Demonstrate collaborative software development practices focused on readability, maintainability, and appropriateness.
- Extend and enhance support procedures, dashboards, monitoring, and deployment capabilities to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Actively engage in team events, offering specialized knowledge and supporting process improvement.
Key Skills:
- Commercial expertise in OCR, NLP, ML, AWS technologies (CDK, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Aurora/Postgres), Python, and Typescript.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various business areas.
- Strong communication skills, conveying complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile delivery models like Scrum and/or Kanban, as well as formal XP engineering techniques and defining infrastructure-as-code.
