AddressA world leading specialist provider of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) is seeking an Automation Engineer to work within their tight-knit engineering team. Based in offices Ashbourne, you will benefit from a starting salary of £50,000 (depending on experience). The company operates globally with a range of world-leading names across industrial manufacturing, retail and logistics.
As an Automation Engineer you will be responsible for:
- The development of automated system design of guided vehicles.
- Installation, setup and support of AGV systems at customer sites.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineering teams to integrate automation.
- Build and test prototypes to validate the automation concepts.
- Create comprehensive documentation for all designs.
- Implement and maintain rigorous testing and quality control processes.
To be a successful Automation Engineer you will have:
- Qualified to a degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc within Robotics, Automation, Software or Electrical Engineering.
- Have proven experience in a similar customer facing role with knowledge of electronic programming and robotic technology.
- Familiar with motor controllers, PLC programming and HMI development.
- Python, C++ or Java experience.
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
