Pulse is looking for an Automation Test Analyst to join our engineering team. You will be based in the UK or EU.
The Automation Test Analyst will be collaborating with the team in planning, designing, enhancing existing and implementing new automated testing strategies. This will include working on a wide range of features & enhancements that will keep the role both exciting and rewarding. In addition, the role includes ensuring best practices and industry standards are followed with focus on expanding the team’s capability and building out best practices within a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop new and maintain existing tests suites and test cases in accordance with business objectives and specifications
- Define and maintain industry best practices, patterns, toolsets, and standards around Automation Testing.
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, product owners, business analysts and other stakeholders on a variety of projects.
- Participate in planning and estimation meetings
- Mentor and support junior members and ensure continuous improvement and upskilling continuity
- Provide feedback and contributions toward the technical roadmap
- Promote test early practices and enable teams to deliver faster through automation.
- Deliver and lead test execution activities.
- Develop automation strategy and frameworks across our web, API and mobile applications.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Test Automation Engineering or similar roles.
- Proficiency in test automation with industry-standard tools (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer, Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Postman).
- Proven capability in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in JavaScript/TypeScript
- In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and industry best practices.
- Experience in working with and documenting APIs e.g., UML, OpenAPI, and Swagger
- Good knowledge of software development design principles, patterns, coding standards, and best practices
- Experience in working with large, SaaS-based applications.
- Expertise in creating comprehensive test plans, cases, and tests for extensive test coverage.
- Knowledge of UI functional testing as well as performance, penetration, and vulnerability testing.
- Experience with testing web applications, APIs, and mobile platforms.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with DevOps, SecOps and AWS landscape.
