Overview:

SPG is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual dedicated to constant growth within the cloud ecosystem.

Our Cloud Operations Managed Services team provides Site Reliability Engineering and performance optimization services to our clients. The team monitors, forensically analyses, and remediates Cloud, Network, and UC issues as they occur. In particular, they proactively and continually assess solution performance to identify anomalies and degradation that, left unchecked may result in a service or component outage.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who holds an excellent track record within a technology services environment. Understanding large, complex enterprises such as the Public Sector and/or Financial Services and/or Health although other sectors of similar scale will of course be welcomed (e.g. Retail). Holding excellent rapport with clients will be viewed as having the utmost integrity and professionalism for excellent stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience of technical support and operational management experience; ideally 2+ years in a senior role.
• Experience in dealing with stakeholders of all levels and the ability to communicate effectively with them.
• Experience managing Enterprise support in a large and complex environment across the full technology stack.
• Knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Understanding of both SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) Cosmos DB, databases, their architecture, and scalability.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and Unix-based systems, including command-line tools and system diagnostics.
• Skills in using and managing Docker, and container orchestration with Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes Service preferred) or Docker Swarm.
• A blend of experience across data center operations & and cloud transformation, technical delivery, business development, and the practical application of industry-standard technologies.
• Experience translating High-Level Designs into Low-Level Designs, building guides, and running books and infrastructure as code.
• Experience building and configuring CI/CD pipelines using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Experience building cloud environments using Terraform code
