We are currently looking for someone to join our EU Onshore Operations Control Room team as a Back Office Performance Manager. You will be working with a 24/7/365 12hr shift team based in Swindon, UK on days. The role requires an innovative, compassionate, diligent, and trustworthy person with excellent problem-solving skills to support the shift team in achieving their goals.
We currently monitor over 2000 assets including wind, solar and battery storage across Europe and Australia with an enormous planning pipeline over the coming 10 years.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Control room in the absence of the Back Office Control Room Lead.
- Performing the role of Operational Controller under RWE-RES UK Wind Turbine Safety Rules including the facilitation of safe systems of work (safety rules systems) and transfer of assets for work utilising the maintenance management system.
- Manage and develop the control rooms key systems ensuring business continuity and continuous improvement.
- Support the team during staff shortages occasionally assuming the role of Control Engineer.
- Communicating with stakeholders – Forge relationships with stakeholders to ensure we are achieving KPI’s and supporting them fully.
- Product owner of control room systems.
- Writing of documentation to capture system improvements, operational improvements, and roll them out to the team using approved training techniques.
- Maintain training documentation and aids, ensure the team are competent for assessment when required.
- KPI reporting
Requirements
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise key activities and ensure completion of all tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in all formats whilst being fluent in English, able to assimilate technical information and transpose this to potentially non-technical stakeholders.
- Aptitude for embracing and rolling out change within an evolving business unit.
- Excellent knowledge of SCADA systems.
- Be able to bring empathy and balance when assessing requirements for potential system developments.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to give and receive structured feedback to ensure development of oneself and the team.
- Excellent process writing and auditing skills.
- Able to create and roll out training tools ensuring they are fit for purpose.
