Back Shift Cold Store Order Picker

We are an award winning company and one of the largest and longest established suppliers of products to the catering trade in the north of England and south of Scotland.

We are currently recruiting for a Back Shift Cold Store Order Picker to join our busy Cold Stores team on Rosehill Industrial Estate to carry out the processing of customer orders from the Cold Store, handling in an efficient and hygienic manner to quality standards as defined by the company.

Duties include the following:

• Assembling customer orders as per instructions on picking notes.
• Making sure all orders are processed in time for delivery to customers.
• To use any machinery that is necessary in the course of your work (after adequate training).
• To follow a "clean as you go" policy as defined in the company cleaning schedule.
• To ensure personal standards and performance are maintained in accordance with company policies, codes of practice and pre-determined targets.
• To ensure company policies on Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene and Due Diligence are met during all duties and activities.
• To carry out any other duties as reasonably required.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. However we are looking for applicants who pride themselves on accuracy and have a good eye for detail.

Hours & Salary

2.00pm - 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday (overtime is required)

£12.95 per hour, any hours worked over 40 are paid at £14.95.
