Job description

Are you a final year adult nursing student due to qualify in the UK in 2024? Want to work in friendly, supportive teams? Want expert guidance and training as you transition from student to registered nurse? If you’re looking for a Band 5Adult Nurse position, we would love you to work with us and care for our patients. There are no limits to how far you can go with us.
At Whittington Health NHS Trust we will offer you:

Individually tailored career development pathways
Internal Transfer opportunities
Opportunities in our integrated care organisation to work in the community as well as in the hospital.
Work with supportive, friendly and forward-thinking teams
Flexible working opportunities
We have a 12-month preceptorship programme in which you will be supported by excellent clinical placement educators and the preceptorship lead (see attached document). We know how important this transition time is for you and we will support you all the way.
Please see the attached job description for the main duties of this position.
We have opportunities for Adult Nurses to work in our district nursing service, a variety of our emergency and integrated medicine areas and a variety of surgical areas.
We’ll help you be a first-rate nurse whichever area you choose to work in. And we give you access to our large range of staff benefits. You can read more about these in our nursing handbook attached.
The interviews will take place on 27 th June.

Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trust believes that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
Please refer to the document attached for detailed job duties and main responsibilities named as Hospital and Community JDPS.
Please note vacancy might close earlier than the closing date depending on number of application , so please apply as soon as possible
