Provide confidential, holistic sexual and contraceptive health care and education to clients attending the service in a welcoming, sensitive and non-judgemental manner. Carry out all relevant forms of care without supervision. Demonstrate procedures and supervise junior and/or unqualified staff. Work effectively as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team and support the Band 7 ANPs, Band 8a Nurse Managers and Clinical Operations Lead in achieving the service, Directorate and Trusts aims and objectives. Demonstrate a flexible approach to days/hours worked and actively participate in changes to planned rota to ensure that service has appropriate nursing cover for all clinics/sites. Manage own time effectively and perform allocated tasks within a reasonable time frame. Supervise/direct the work of Assistant Practitiioner/HCAs, students or other trainees as required. Use resources required to meet patient needs economically and evaluate their effectiveness. Participate in effective mentoring of junior Nurses and HCAs - with particular attention to monitoring and continuous assessment of students. Contribute to the services learning environment as a positive role model and through participation in delivery of service teaching programmes for internal and external staff. Undertake appropriate activities to regularly update clinical knowledge and skills. Work towards sexual and contraceptive Nurse Band 6 competencies. Participate in clinical audit as required.
