Genesis is looking for an experienced Bathroom Fitter to join one of our clients based in Coventry on a permanent basis.
Ideal skills required are for removing old bathroom suites, tiles, plaster etc and then to reconstruct the room. Ideal skill set to plumbing, carpentry, plastering, tiling. Will consider someone who does do all of the different trades as we do have electricians, tilers, plasterers.
You must hold a full UK driving licence as the company provide van, fuel (fuel card provided), van insurance, public liability insurance (the van cannot be used for personal use)
- All of the bathroom equipment is delivered to site
- They will send someone around at a pre-arranged time to give you a lift with a large tray or screen where required.
- Technical support. Where possible they will help with this.
- Tool allowance £500 ex vat a year. This saves you tax on the purchase of tools.
- Fitter Bonus £228.00 per month.
- They provide drill bits, replacement blades etc.
- Work wear i.e T Shirts. Trousers and boots etc can go on your tool allowance.
- Personal phone usage £5 per month or they provide a company phone
- There will be times when you would be required to phone the manufacturers if you are on site to deal with a problem.
Hours & Salary
- 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. 3 to 4 days of your holiday are to be kept for between Christmas and New year. After 3 years you get an extra days holiday per year for 3 years giving you a maximum of 26 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- If you don’t take all of your holiday entitlement they will pay you for it.
- They pay a pension of 3% of your wages but you must pay 5% of your wages.
- Working week is generally Monday to Friday.
- Paid monthly on the 15th of every month..
- Hours are based on a minimum of 40 hours per week. A minimum of a 20 minute lunch break must be taken per working day and logged on time sheet.
- Any time worked over the 40 hours will be paid for.
Please note they have a rota for emergency cover over the holiday period in case they get called on for a leak. On rare occasions you may get called out for emergency leaks but you will be paid for any call outs
