B+E Driver

A to Z Trailer Movements is currently recruiting freelance / self employed B+E drivers as well and C1+E and C+E drivers. Must have experience in towing trailers up to 3.5 tonne as well as experience of strapping loads / loading equipment safely.

Self employed / ltd drivers are only of interest at this time.

Daily walk around checks are required. Understanding of W3W / WhatsApp and basic IT skills will also be very important as well as following instructions.

We run mixed fleet of pick up trucks and 7.5 tonne beavertail lorries that have the capacity to tow. We have have an array of our own trailers that we use for haulage as well as moving our customers trailers.

Valid digital tacho card and cpc required if happy to drive the 7.5 tonne.

In the summer months we are heavily involved in festival and event Logistics. Very interesting work no day the same lots of hours available over this period.

Experience in moving mobile welfare units would be a plus as well as experience with Plant.

Some trailers we move can be 7 meters in length and weighs 3.5 tonne.

Be confident driving in city centres and reversing in tight places.

Have common sense.

Be hard working.

Not scared of getting your hands dirty. Change wheel if required and safe to do so. Basic mechanic knowledge would come in very handy.

Listen and understand instructions - if you are not sure on anything just ask.

We also move small plant and access equipment on a plant trailer. IPAF holder would be handy.

Be ideally based locally to NN7 area - we cover Nationwide so can be early starts / late finishes some overnight stays maybe required (not very often/hotel will be provided).

Pay rate is £13-£17 per hour.

Out of hours / weekend work will the higher rate.

There is potential for this to turn into a full time position.

Positions would suit class 1 driver / keen caravan owner with towing experience.
