TeacherActive has the pleasure of working with a beautiful Alternative Provision School, in the heart of the Nottinghamshire countryside, to find a Behaviour Mentor to join their supportive and progressive team.  

The Behaviour Mentor will be working with pupils aged 7-18 pupils to support their goals and dreams as they embark on their education. As a Behaviour Mentor you will accompany pupils both in and out of the classroom in general lessons and forest school as well as spending time at the schools on-site small holding where pupils can interact with the many animals the school and pupils care for.

We are looking for a Behaviour Mentor on a permanent basis in the Bottesford area.

A successful Behaviour Mentor must have experience working with young people either in an educational establishment and/or coaching. The Behaviour mentor must be resilient, positive and creative as well as being empathetic and compassionate.

The ideal Behaviour Mentor should have the following:

• Experience working with young people
• A calm, patient and caring persona
• Good communication skills
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
