Job description

MILK Education are currently recruiting for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a leading independent school in Gainsborough. The school caters for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and the role involves supporting the children not just academically, but from a pastoral perspective. The working hours are 08:45- 4:15pm, Monday to Friday, although the children leave site at 14:30. This is a permanent role upon successful completion of a 12 week probationary period through Milk Education.

Your role & responsibilities:
* To support learners with additional needs to access learning
* Help the children to build emotional scaffolding and help them to regulate their behaviour
* Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils
* This role involves dealing with physical behaviour
Non-negotiables:
* 6 months of experience in working with children or vulnerable adults
* This role requires strong behaviour management skills and you must be prepared to encounter and support physical behaviour
