SalaryTeam Educate is seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support our teachers in the classroom. We are seeking really reliable and committed individuals who have a genuine care for the children in their care. We are looking for someone who is punctual and very dependable. This position will be a full time role in a large special school.
Requirements:
● Essential: experience of working with children who are autistic or non-verbal who require a multi communicative approach
● Essential: experience in previous SEN setting
Location: Barry
Pay: £85 per day
You will:
● Be dedicated, inspiring and engaging. Having a genuine care for the children in your support.
● Create a safe, calm and positive environment for the student
● Work under the direction of teachers
● To organise and make appropriate resources to support the pupil
● Have an up to date DBS either with the update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS
● Be able to provide professional references covering the last 5 years
Skills
Strong people and communication skills with excellent listening skills required. Strong written skills required for all levels of education preferred.
Excellent organizational skills required.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team required.
