SalaryAllstaff Recruitment are currently seeking a Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker based in Bedford for a bespoke high-end carpenters.
Summary of theBench Joiner/Cabinet Makerrole
Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 per annum
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Hours: 42.5 hours, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm
As the Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker your role will involve the following important duties:
- Size sheet materials and solid timber from cuttings lists.
- Create bespoke high-end one off pieces of furniture.
- Use traditional woodworking machinery including planer thicknesser, spindle moulder, wide belt sander, veneer press and more.
- Assemble furniture from technical drawings.
- Program and operate Biesse 5 axis Router machine.
The experience required
As a successful Bench Joiner/Cabinet Maker you will have the following:
- Experience as a quality cabinet or furniture maker or in a workshop environment.
- Laminating, veneering and edge banding experience.
- Good working knowledge of hand tools, workshop machinery and safe practices.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Experience working with a wide range of materials such as MDF, real wood veneers, solid wood and MFC.
