We are seeking a Benefits & Wellbeing Manager for our People & Culture team, to be based at our Bristol, Cheltenham or Birmingham office (hybrid working between home and office). 
The People & Culture team are based across our office with the main presence in Cheltenham and Bristol. We provide a full HR service to the Firm encompassing Resourcing and Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Total Rewards & People Solutions, Organisational Development & Talent and Employee Experience & Engagement. The Total Rewards & People Solutions team covers all aspects of remuneration and benefits for our employees – from company-wide processes such as the annual salary review, bonus and flexible benefits through to managing the payroll and general day-to-day employee pay and benefit queries.
The Benefits & Wellbeing Manager reports to the Head of Total Reward & People Solutions (Head of TR&PS) and acts as manager to the Benefits Advisor and the Wellbeing Consultant. They will work closely with the Senior Reward Advisors and Payroll Manager alongside other members of the Total Reward and People Solutions team.
Responsibilities
The main role of the Benefits & Wellbeing Manager will be to manage the benefits and wellbeing programme within the business. The role will work closely with the Head of TR&PS to develop the benefits and wellbeing strategy to ensure our offering is in line with our business objectives and supports our ability to attract and retain talent.  
The role will manage the overall holistic benefits provision - from the flexible benefits provision alongside broader benefit offering such as the way we work and time away from the office.  The role will be important in shaping the wellbeing strategy and bringing this to life to reflect our future Total Reward priorities. This role will work alongside colleagues across the People and Culture team, and broader in the business, to ensure our offering meets our business needs, is well understand and communicated.
Key responsibilities:
  • Work with the Head of TR&PS to develop benefits and wellbeing strategy and build the strategy into the People and Culture team plans
  • Member of the Total Rewards and People Solutions management team and expected to contribute to deliver team goals
  • Manage the Benefits Advisor and Wellbeing Consultant to ensure delivery against plans, goal setting, performance measurement and development
  • Responsible for the Company’s flexible benefits including the annual renewal and ongoing improvements through the portal
  • Requirement to be hands-on - both during flex renewal project in respect of platform, content, testing and communications; and to support team members during busy times and absence
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of external market conditions and monitor trends to ensure our offering is market leading and aligned to our business objectives
  • Work closely with our inhouse benefit consultant team to review platform, benefits terms & costs and effectiveness
  • Develop the company’s benefit and wellbeing communication strategy and support team in delivering these
  • Ensure the Company’s DEI and Sustainability goals are reflected and supported in out benefits and wellbeing activities
  • Develop benefit and wellbeing provisions for our Partner population 
  • Oversee benefit and wellbeing budget, spend and regular report and track this
  • Ensure regular reporting of metrics, supporting continuous improvement and transparency
  • Understand tax positions of benefits and the salary exchange implications, working closely with Payroll Manager as needed. 
  • Provide deep expert advice on benefits and wellbeing
  • Develop and embed our family friendly policies and processes
  • Monitor and review policies and practices and proactively recommend new and innovative solutions.
  • Advise on complex benefit implications and actions as a result of sickness, TUPE and GIP
  • Complete benefit surveys and interpret results for our business
  • Work with our technology, systems and platforms to ensure efficient processes and excellent user experience
  • Manage and monitor the risks within the Benefits and Wellbeing function

Projects
Involved in projects as appropriate which will include:
  • Introduction of electric car scheme 
  • HCM System 
  • Family Friendly policy development
  • Supporting TUPE activity (benefits aspects as required)
  • Represent People & Culture team in Company wide projects are required

General
  • Active member of People & Culture Working Groups – such as Risk, DEI, Policy Development
  • Any other reasonable task as advised from time-to-time
  • Support, Implement and Maintain Information Security procedures and activities in accordance to Barnett Waddingham’s Information Security Policy

Experience/Qualifications
