About the Role:
As a Client-Facing BI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and addressing their clients' unique challenges and goals. This is not just a coding position - it's about being a consultant who can translate technical expertise into tailored solutions. You will work closely with clients on-site, gaining insights into their business processes, and designing and implementing bespoke Business Intelligence solutions to fit their needs.
This person will be a key cog of in the delivery of projects and so it is important that they are genuinely interested and curious to work in the food manufacturing industry. They will be the Power BI/BI Developer expert within the company and be in pole position to hire further BI Developers beneath themselves as they grow into the role and make it their own.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site visits to understand clients' business processes, data requirements, and challenges.
- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into effective BI solutions.
- Develop and implement customized Business Intelligence solutions using tools such as Power BI, DAX, SQL, Advanced Excel & ETL.
- Design and optimize data models, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
- Provide training and support to clients on BI solutions, ensuring user adoption and satisfaction.
- Stay on top of industry trends and advancements to continuously enhance our BI offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a BI Developer with a focus on client interaction.
- Strong proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, DAX, Advanced Excel, ETL, SQL, and data modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous consulting experience is a plus.
