Hays Construction have been retained in the recruitment of a Bid Assistant for a highly established contractor operating within the UK civil engineering sector. Involved in million pound contracts, developing and maintaining infrastructure across the UK & Ireland specialising in utilities (Power/Telecoms), civil Engineering and infrastructure. Due to consistently increasing workloads, they are now recruiting a Bid Assistant for their pre-construction team.
Your new role
Based at Head Office and reporting to the Bid Manager, this person will be involved in all aspects of the bid process, ensuring that PQQs and Tender submissions are prepared to the highest standards. Your role includes;
- Provide administrative support in the preparation of bid and tender submissions for a wide range of building projects throughout the UK and Ireland
- Assist with the production of high quality bid documents and presentations
- Liaise with in-house HR, SHEQ, Planning and Estimating Departments in co-ordinating their input
- Assist with the preparation of meeting schedules and the coordination of external consultants
- Assist with the production, copying and distribution of reports, minutes, letters, project correspondence and other documents
- Responsible for all outgoing post for the Bid Department
- Responsible for processing all invoices within the Bid Department
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a high level of proficiency in MS Word, Visio, Excel, and Powerpoint, and will ideally be degree educated. You will have knowledge of how the tendering process works within the construction industry, and previous experience in engaging in the tender process will be desirable.
