Why this job matters
As a bid Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for winning and retaining profitable business across key accounts on strategic deals. You will drive financial risk mitigation and manage key commercial issues. You will positively influence win rates and directly impact BT Group's drive for profitable growth on the more complex deals.
What you'll be doing
- Accountable for discreet and/or complex bids within a specific field of responsibility
- Identify and quantify financial risk - key input to the bid decision making process
- Provides insightful recommendations to improve bid profitability
- On time and accurate completion of the Finance briefing for the appropriate DOA sign off having applied the best practices
- Assist with assurance for the accurate completion of customer pricing sheets with ability to develop and own bespoke and / or complex pricing structures
- Contribute to the production of Finance Schedules
- Produce bid P&L and cash flow for Complex Network and Non-standard bids
- Be recognised as a trusted advisor to senior management and subject matter expert for bid
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Senior Stakeholder experience working within matrixed environments
- Experience of working with commercial and operational teams to deliver bid proposals and win deals.
- Ability to interpret financials into meaningful insight, to inform decision making.
- Ability to operate under pressure of deadline driven sales environment.
- Demonstrates a high level of analytical capability
