As one of our two Bid Management Executives at Altair, you will play a key role in supporting and
coordinating the bidding process across our consultancy and advisory firm. You will collaborate
closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to support and co-ordinate the submission of winning bids and secure new business opportunities. This role demands good communication and people skills, and the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful bidding here in UK and around the world.
You will also be committed to continually seeking to improve the way we conduct bid activities including better using technology and Al. As we enter our next phase of development, this role provides an exciting opportunity for the successful individual to play a key role in our exciting plans for the future.
Key Responsibilities:
• The primary responsibility is co-ordinating, crafting and submitting winning proposals. The Bid Management Executive will maintain oversight of key elements of the entire bid process, from initial identification of customer requirements to project delivery.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify and evaluate potential opportunities, including market trends, and client requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and effectively represent the firm’s capabilities and expertise.
• Work with and guide cross-functional teams, including technical experts, finance professionals, and proposal writers to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of bid submissions.
• Preparation of bidding documentation including proposals, technical specifications, cost estimates and compliance requirements.
• Conduct competitive analysis to understand market positioning, pricing strategies, and differentiation factors, and incorporate these insights into bid strategies.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and quality standards throughout the bidding process.
• Support post-bid analysis to assess the effectiveness of bidding strategies, capture lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Required Skills / Experience:
• Proven experience within Bid Management, preferably with a consultancy business.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks, manage multiple bids concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration or a related field preferred.
